The syndicate is twelve years old this year...

In our early years, aided by a fresh approach, a favourable market and strong support from you, we recorded excellent results.

We are now in the process of reviewing our business model to ensure that we are equipped to succeed in all trading environments. It is important that our proposition remains current and attractive and that we continue to be responsive and supportive.

As part of this process, we are reviewing aspects of our distribution strategy. Some things will not change. We will remain a Broker only market and we have no desire to increase the number of Brokers with whom we trade. However, I believe that we can be more effective in how we interact with our Broker partners.

We can more clearly communicate our appetite, strengths and differentiators. We will be more pro-active and discerning in our planning, including being aware of, and responsive to, those who consistently support us.

Our Strategic Marketing and Communications team is now in place. As a result responsibility for direct Sales and business acquisition has been incorporated within Underwriting. There have also been a number of structural and senior personnel changes during recent months, particularly with the appointment of Martin Hudson as Director of Underwriting.
